1. Introduction

Asura Scans (hereinafter referred to as “the Site”, “we”, or “us”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable copyright laws.

We do not host any copyrighted content on our servers. All manga, manhwa, and manhua displayed on our Site are embedded from third-party sources or are used for informational/reference purposes. However, we take copyright infringement claims seriously and will respond promptly to valid takedown notices.

2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice (Notification of Infringement)

If you are a copyright owner or an authorized agent and believe that your work has been copied, displayed, or made available on our Site in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, you may submit a written notification to our designated Copyright Agent. To be effective, your notice must include substantially the following information:

  1. Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (e.g., the exact URL of the page).
  4. Contact information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an email address and/or phone number.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

3. Submitting Your Takedown Notice

All DMCA takedown notices must be submitted in writing to our designated Copyright Agent using the contact information provided at the end of this policy. We strongly recommend sending notices via email for the fastest processing time.

Please note that any misrepresentation of infringing material (e.g., submitting a false claim) may result in legal liability, including costs and attorney’s fees. You should consult with legal counsel before filing a notice if you are unsure whether your copyright has been infringed.

4. Counter-Notification (If Your Content Was Removed)

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to us. Your counter-notification must be a written communication that includes substantially the following:

  1. Physical or electronic signature of the user.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it previously appeared.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and email address.
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in Chișinău, Moldova (or the applicable jurisdiction if different).

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complaining party. If the complaining party does not file a court action within 10 business days, we may restore the removed material.

5. Repeat Infringers

We maintain a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users who are deemed repeat infringers. While we do not require user registration (so we have no accounts to terminate), we reserve the right to block IP addresses or restrict access to the Site for individuals or entities that repeatedly violate our copyright policy.

6. Limitations

Our Site aggregates or links to content from various third-party sources. We do not control or monitor all content hosted on third-party platforms. Our DMCA Policy applies strictly to content displayed directly on our Site. For content hosted elsewhere, please contact the respective third-party site directly.

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This DMCA Policy and any disputes arising from it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Chișinău, Moldova. Any legal proceedings related to this policy shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Chișinău, Moldova.
